Professional Journey

From The Field, Into Public Service.

Before politics, Ade Joe built infrastructure — literally. From coordinating safety on London's rail network to founding a housing vision aimed at transforming Nigeria's cities, every chapter has been about creating opportunity through the built environment.

2006–2008

Lead Site Person In Charge, TfL / London Underground

Coordinated safety and construction across major rail refurbishment projects, including St Pancras International and King's Cross Station.

2007

Founder, Downtown New Homes (UK)

Began developing the vision for an entirely new Nigerian city, built around integrated communities rather than another housing estate.

2010

Downtown New Homes Nigeria Limited

Pursued a joint venture on roughly 10,000 hectares in Ogun State for one of Nigeria's largest proposed housing developments.

Present

Full-Time Public Advocate

Joined the National Rescue Movement (NRM) and launched this campaign for a better Nigeria, carrying the Nigerian Dream Project's vision into government.

The Nigerian Dream Project.

In 2007, while living in the United Kingdom, Ade Joe developed a vision that would shape the rest of his life — to build an entirely new city in Nigeria, rather than another conventional housing estate. That vision led him to establish Downtown New Homes in the UK, before incorporating Downtown New Homes Nigeria Limited to pursue integrated communities where housing, schools, healthcare, transport, and jobs exist together.

The Call To Leadership

Why He Answered The Call To Politics.

Ade Joe never originally planned to become a politician. For years, he preferred contributing ideas and policy proposals from outside government — on housing, employment, infrastructure, and security. Over time, he became convinced that meaningful transformation requires leaders willing to implement bold ideas, not just discuss them. He joined the National Rescue Movement (NRM), drawn to its commitment to reform, humility, and renewal.
